!!!up early for no reason!!!
gotta love my job!!! for all that don't know, i work nights at a hospital as a tele tech (no, i don't watch tv's, but heart monitors) and a ward clerk for IMCU. i don't think that i could ask for any better job right at this particular moment in my life. i get paid pretty well, have great insurance, and i work with a pretty good group of people. but about the only thing that i don't like about my job, is why i am actually wrighting this post right now!! for no reason, i woke up and wide awake wanting to go do something.....but this is a problem since it is 4 in the morning and i have been up since 2!!!!! i can't stand that. i guess i slept too much yesterday when i got off of work at 7am after working 3-12hr shifts on thursday, friday and saturday! i got home and slept from about 0800-1530 and then by 2200 i was ready to go back to bed (i don't know about you but i don't think this is normal!!) well, i guess i am done ranting about my crazy, messed up sleep cycle, so i am going to try and get an hour of sleep before i have to get up and go work out this morning.

finally!!!!
ok, here is an update while i have some time at work.
i finally got to the recruiter's office when someone was there.
well, i found out that with my ASVAB score that i could pratically almost get any job that i would like to do if i decide to go enlisted, depending on if they have a postion opened. so thats one of the good things that i found out today.
another thing i got some more information about the healthcare collegiate program. it sounded really nice the first time that the recruiter emailed something about it to me. but as it turns out, i would end up getting paid $2500 a month (which is not too bad), but it doesn't pay anything as in school costs which is what i would like to happen since getting a masters is not cheap. so i think that it wouldn't be worth my time to get into that program. it would be better if i just went in enlisted and have the Navy pay for everything.
another thing that i found out is that i will be taking the ASTB (which is similar to the ASVAB but for joining as an officer instead if going enlisted) sometime in the near future. i might as well take it, because i have nothing to lose if i don't do well on it. and if i do do well on it, that could open the door for me getting to go in as an officer. but, i think what will end up happening is that i will just end up go enlisted and work on my masters and then trying for an officer position after a couple of years or so.
so thats about it with the updates...might have another one later today or tomorrow, because i will be calling a recruiter in st. louis about the officer part.
until later,

early in the morning....
well....
this morning i am going to try again to get in contact with the recruiter so that i can get some more of my questions answered. but the past few times that i have tried to go over there they have always been gone! is this some sort of sign for me or not??
i will give an update later today once i get back.
oh yeah, can't wait for tonight! i am going to go see Corey Smith after class. should be a good time.

While I should be studying.....
just thought that i would do an update....if you can call it one...while i am taking a break from studying for a test that i have tonight. let me tell you i am not looking forward to it at all. but who really looks forward to tests anyways..i am sure that i am not alone in feeling like this.
anyways, for any one that doesn't know already, i am in the process of joining the navy. thats right, you read right! but right now i am just trying to meet the weight requirements so i wont be able to do anything until then. i have about 12 more pounds to lose depending on what day it is. i can't stand how much my weight changes from day to day. but anywho, my ideal plan would go in as an officer and do something with healthcare management. but, i have found out that i have to have my masters first, but i have found out that the navy has some type of program that could pay up to 54k while i am in school. it sounds pretty good, but i am not for sure what it is all about just yet. (hopefully i will find something out about it tomorrow, if the recruiters would ever be in the office!!)
but if i can't join as an officer, i will just go enlisted. and then try to work my way up, or try to retry to get into the officer program after a year or so after i am enlisted.
well, i guess i will get back to studying and hopefully i will have more information tomorrow.
*talk to you later*

Bored at work.......
Just thought that I would post something since I have everything caught up at work for a moment (which is something that never seems to happen!)
Well, to start off...
My first thought that I have is why would anybody want to end a good thing that is going on. I just don't understand the logic behind this action. i just found out the other day that our wonderful pastor of the church that i go to has decided to quit. i don't know all of the details about this situation, but from what i have heard it was because of a few people that can't accept a new way of doing things. i personally believe that chnage is good. having a few things stay the same is alright, but i think that doing something that is not like it has always been is a nice way to change it up. i am always up for something different. but i can't wait to go to church in sunday to get all of the facts about this situation.
another thing that i am wondering about is why when you start working out and you are really staying commited to the program that you have set up for yourself that you can't see the results as fast as you want to. this is exactly what i am going through right now. i just wish that i could see the pounds dropping off of me a lot faster than it is right at this moment. but i know that this is not how it is going to work out for me.....boo! believe me, it is nice to see some inches come off, but i am wanting the pounds to come off a little bit more than the inches at this point and time just because of what i am trying to do right now in my life.
but anyways enough with the complaining......
i guess that is all that i can actually complain about in my life at this particular moment while i am at work. overall i am pretty thankful about everything else that is happening in my life. and also that is all that i can think about at 2 a.m. in the morning.
so until later....
